ABC, CBS and NBC featured primetime programming commemorating the 20 year anniversary of 9/11. On CBS, two-hour special “The Race Against Time: The CIA and 9/11” averaged 2.62 million viewers (#2) and a 0.3 rating/3 share in adults 18-49 from 8-10 p.m. On ABC, a special edition of “20/20” revisiting the families with then young children scored 3.15 million viewers (#1) and a 0.4/ 3 in the demo from 9-11 p.m. And NBC’s “Dateline”, profiling the heroes of Flight 93, came in at 2.13 million viewers (#3) and a 0.3/ 3 in adults 18-49 (#2) at 10 p.m.
Elsewhere, Fox led the evening in adults 18-49 care of “WWE Friday Night Smackdown!” See network averages above. The CW featured dramas “Burden of Truth” (Viewers: 436,000; A18-49: 0.1/ 1 at 8 p.m.) and “Dynasty” (Viewers: 300,000; A18-49: 0.1/ 1), which remained buried in the No. 5. And the remainder of the evening were repeat telecasts.
