Friday Ratings: ‘MacGyver’ Exits CBS on a Quiet Note; Lackluster NFL Draft on ABC

In season finale news, “MacGyver” on CBS exited on a modest note with 4.34 million viewers (#1) and a 0.4 rating/3 share in adults 18-49 (#3) in the 8 p.m. ET hour. This does not bode well for the fans trying to find another home for it. For more, click here
Also on CBS were dramas “Magnum, P.I.” (Viewers: #1, 5.11 million; A18-49: #2t, 0.4/ 3) and “Blue Bloods” (Viewers: #1, 6.15 million; A18-49: #1t, 0.4/ 3) from 9-11 p.m.
Rounds two and three of the NFL draft was left at the starting gate for the coverage on ABC, with a mere 1.83 million viewers and a 0.4 rating/3 share in adults 18-49 for the 8-11 p.m. coverage. Keep in mind this also aired live on the NFLN and ESPN.
On The CW, the return of “World’s Funniest Animals” for a one-time airing cracked the one million mark, with 1.02 million viewers (#5) and a 0.2/ 1 (#5) in the demo at 8 p.m.
Elsewhere, tired (but already renewed) “The Blacklist” (Viewers: #2, 3.30 million; A18-49: #4, 0.3/ 3 at 8 p.m.) led into “Dateline” at 3.22 million viewers (#2) and a 0.4/ 3 in adults 18-49 (#1t) from 9-11 p.m. And “WWE Friday Night Smackdown” on Fox was at typical fast affiliate levels.
